Why I Built This
In 2023, I was running a link building campaign and placed 12 links across sites that looked active on the surface: decent domain metrics, real content, good anchor text variety. Three months later, half of those sites were practically invisible in Google. No recent SERP indexing, stale sitemaps, dead RSS feeds.
I had spent money on links that Google wasn't paying attention to. The problem was I had no fast way to check whether Google was actively crawling a site before I built a link there. Existing tools focused on historical backlink data, not on real-time crawl activity.
So I built SEO Readiness. A Chrome extension that checks the signals I actually care about: when did Google last index this site? Is the sitemap fresh? Is the RSS feed active? Are there any spam patterns? All from a single popup, in under 30 seconds, with no paid APIs.

I've been doing SEO since 2019, with a focus on technical SEO and link building strategy. Over the years I've run campaigns for local businesses, SaaS products, e-commerce stores and affiliate sites. I've also built several Chrome extensions for SEO workflows: tools that work on the page you're already looking at, with zero API costs.
SEO Readiness started as a personal tool, a popup that gave me a quick gut-check on any prospective link site. When I showed it to a few people in the link building community, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
